Cracked asphalt, driveways and parking lots milled, scraped or broken out, recycled and hauled with the base graded.
Asphalt parking lots and driveways break down from weather, heavy loads and water. When cracks, potholes and alligator patterns spread, patching stops working and the surface needs to be replaced. Removing it correctly saves the base underneath and keeps the project on schedule.
We measure the area and thickness, mark the edges and cut the border to protect curbs and concrete. We scrape or break the asphalt, load it into trucks and haul it to a plant for recycling. We inspect the stone base, note soft spots and grade it so your paving contractor can build a long-lasting surface. We also look at drainage, striping plans and utility covers before the first pass, because a lot that drains badly will fail again no matter how good the new paving is. A few minutes of review at the start often saves a full repaving later.
Thin asphalt can be scraped. Thick or firmly stuck asphalt may be milled or broken. We choose the method that protects the base.
Concrete curbs, gutters, drains and utilities need to stay. We cut along the edge and hand-work tight spots.
Asphalt is highly recyclable and often reused in new paving. We deliver it to recyclers by weight.
A sound base and proper drainage determine how long new asphalt lasts. We note problems and grade to the slope your paving contractor needs.
