Cracked and sunken concrete or asphalt driveways, walks and aprons removed and the base graded for a fresh pour.
A cracked, heaved or settled driveway is more than an eyesore. It can pool water against the house, create trip hazards and signal drainage problems underneath. Replacing it starts with removing the old surface cleanly, and doing that well makes the new driveway last.
We mark the edges with you, protect the garage slab, curbs and landscaping you plan to keep and saw-cut where concrete meets concrete that stays. We break out the old surface, load and haul it and check the base underneath. If the stone base is wet, contaminated or uneven, we tell you, so the new driveway starts on solid ground.
A new surface is only as good as the base beneath it. We expose and assess the sub-base, and we grade and compact it to your contractor specification where requested.
Garage floors, curbs, aprons, mailboxes, lawns and tree roots are all close to a driveway. We saw-cut and hand-work edges where needed.
Concrete is broken out in slabs and asphalt is scraped and lifted. Each is recycled separately and hauled by weight.
Water should run away from the house. While the old driveway is out, it is the best time to correct low spots and slope.
